Vacancy: Data Scientist

Our client, US technology company from Silicon Valley, is looking for the candidate for Data Scientist .

We seek a potential leader who will be able to recruit a team of additional qualified developers to work under him/her as the company expands its team in Ukraine or Latvia.

Position will be based either in Kiev, Kharkiv, Lviv or Riga.

Requirements:

• Well versed in DB design and optimization (SQL)
• Passion for building great software
• Strong system development skills

• Capable of conducting independent research
• Result-driven, self-motivated, self-starter
• Not afraid to take on hard technical challenges
• Excellent English communication skills

Strongly desired: 

• Machine learning (Python or otherwise) and AI (artificial intelligence) experience
• Natural language tool kit (nltk)
• Scikit-learn: Python machine learning library
• Screen scraping experience
• Experience with recommendation engines
• Knowledge of Amazon Ec2 Web server
• Experience setting up web server (ideally Python)
• Strong knowledge of database internals and implementation
• Android, iOS
• Java
